Gorgeous New Postage Stamps Star Peter from "The Snowy Day"

"The Snowy Day" is a classic of children's literature by Ezra Jack Keats (born Jacob Ezra Katz) whose low-key,loving portrayal of Peter,a young black child playing in the snow,was a pioneer of diverse kid's lit —not to mention a really lovely book worth treasuring.

Now the U.S,Postal Service is issuing a set of stamps commemorating the book,featuring Peter in his iconic winter wonderland and red snowsuit.You can pre-order them now;they're released in October.
